About the General Worker Position
The General Worker is a person who helps with the daily operations of water treatment facilities. The person who gets this job will help with maintenance, cleaning and taking care of the facilities. They will also help with transporting water samples and handling equipment and chemicals.
The person who gets this job must be reliable physically fit and willing to work shifts and weekends.
Purpose of the Role
The purpose of this job is to help with the operations of water treatment facilities. The General Worker will help make sure that the facilities are clean, safe and running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
The person who gets this job will be responsible for duties, including:
- Plant Maintenance and Housekeeping: The person who gets this job will help with maintenance and cleaning of the facilities. They will make sure that the facilities are neat organised and safe.
- Grounds Maintenance: The General Worker will help with maintaining the areas around the facilities. They will cut grass, clear reeds and vegetation and remove sludge and waste materials.
- Water Quality Support: The person who gets this job will help with taking water samples and testing the water quality. They will also help with reading and recording data from gauges and meters.
- Pipe and Reservoir Maintenance: The General Worker will help with repairing pipes and cleaning reservoirs. They will also help with maintaining the facilities and making sure that they are running smoothly.
- Chemical Handling: The person who gets this job will help with handling equipment and chemicals. They will make sure that they are using the equipment and chemicals safely and correctly.
- Administration and Reporting: The General Worker will also help with tasks, such as filling out timesheets and stock sheets.
- Inventory Management: The person who gets this job will help with managing the inventory of the facilities. They will make sure that the facilities have the supplies they need to run

Minimum Requirements
