The main goal of this job is to support the warehouse team by doing tasks that help with stock handling and organization. You will help load and unload deliveries handle stock safely keep the warehouse clean and support the supervisors and other staff.
Key Responsibilities
You will help unload trucks when they arrive at the warehouse. This includes following the instructions of the Warehouse Supervisor identifying the trucks that need to be unloaded and unloading the products safely and efficiently.
- You will also help with pallet handling, which includes de-stacking pallets safely organizing products checking product quantities and preparing pallets for storage or movement.
- You will need to pay attention to details when checking stock, which includes verifying batch numbers checking expiry dates and making sure products are stored correctly.
- You will also help identify products during warehouse operations, which includes inspecting stock reporting damaged products and supporting quality control procedures.
- You will help prepare stock for storage and transport by wrapping pallets with shrink wrap protecting products during storage and preparing stock for internal movement.
- You will also help keep the warehouse clean by cleaning workstations removing waste materials and keeping walkways clear.
- You may also be asked to help with warehouse activities as needed which includes supporting warehouse staff assisting supervisors and completing general warehouse duties.
To apply for this job you will need to meet the requirements, which include having a Grade 12 certificate and being able to read, write and communicate effectively in English. You will also need to be reliable, punctual and a team player with communication skills and attention to detail.
