The Services Sector Education and Training Authority, which is also known as Services SETA is looking for a Cleaner to work in their office in Johannesburg, Gauteng. About the Role

The person we hire will play a role in helping Services SETA run smoothly every day. They will make sure all the facilities are clean and safe for everyone. A clean workplace is important for peoples well-being and productivity. It also makes our organization look good.

The Cleaner will have to follow a schedule and make sure all the areas are cleaned regularly. They will clean offices, boardrooms, restrooms, kitchens and other areas. They will have to make sure everything is safe and healthy.

The Cleaner will also have to help with getting refreshments for the staff and visitors check the cleaning supplies and tell management if there are any problems or if we need supplies.

Key Responsibilities

The Cleaner will have tasks, including:

General Cleaning Duties
The Cleaner will have to stick to the cleaning schedule.
They will make sure all the offices and common areas are clean and tidy.
They will sweep, mop, vacuum and polish the floors.
They will dust the furniture and equipment.
They will clean the bathrooms and kitchens.
They will empty the trash cans and recycle.
They will clean the rugs and furniture.
They will make sure everything is clean and nice.
Refreshment and Hospitality Services

The Cleaner will also have to help with hospitality tasks. This includes:

Welcoming visitors and making them feel comfortable.
Getting refreshments for visitors and staff.
Making sure the kitchen and refreshment areas are clean.
Stock Control and Inventory Management

The Cleaner will have to manage the cleaning supplies. This includes:

Checking the stock levels of cleaning materials.
Making sure we have supplies.
Checking the stock levels every week and every month.
Telling management if we need supplies.
Keeping track of the inventory.
Maintenance and Equipment Care

The Cleaner will have to help take care of the facilities. This includes:

Checking the premises
Telling management if there are any problems.
Taking care of the cleaning equipment.
Making sure we have all the tools and materials we need.

Departmental Support

The Cleaner will help all the departments by keeping the workplace clean and safe. This will help everyone be more productive and happy.

Minimum Requirements

A Grade 10 certificate or something similar.
Experience in cleaning and housekeeping is a plus.
